Arcade Games from the past

Arcade Games
I spent a fortune in the arcades playing a game called Commando , I'm ashamed to remember that once I went to visit a friend in another city and when I arrived a took a detour to an arcade where I knew the game Commando was hosted, arriving about 2 hours late to my friend.

So what was so special about Commando. Pace to the action really! You play a soldier who is dropped into enemy territory by helicopter. Immediately it's obvious you're behind enemy lines and must battle your way through waves of enemy troops until you reach their base. There you must defeat dozens of enemy troops resulting (if you don't shoot them in error) in the release of capture POWs.

Then you moved onto new territory and began the whole process of fighting enemy troops to finally reach a base and free the prisoners.
Commando was converted to the ZX Spectrum by Elite and in my mind at the time it appeared to be a great conversion but looking back now graphically a lot was left to the player's imagination.
